Leslie Anderson

Leslie has served as the Women’s Director for CMMSA since 2022, where she oversees ministry to the women in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physicians Assistant and Medical School. She attended Auburn University for undergrad and South Alabama for Occupational Therapy school. She practiced as a pediatric occupational therapist at an outpatient clinic in Mobile for 6 years, prior to working with CMMSA. In addition to working part time for the ministry she is married to Brenton, is mother to two boys, Beau and Jack, and girl, Lottie! They are active members at Covenant Presbyterian Church. She enjoys meeting one one-on-one with the students, inviting them into her life and has a heart for helping women connect their faith with their work! 

Alex Foxx

Alex has been on staff with CMMSA since 2019 and became the Director of Medical Student Ministry in 2022. He’s originally from Montgomery, AL, and went to Troy University, where he earned a degree in Biomedical Science and later completed his MBA. During college, he was heavily involved with Campus Outreach, which played a big role in shaping his passion for ministry.

He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Kathryn, in 2020—just before the pandemic hit. She works as an ER nurse at University Hospital. They live in midtown Mobile with their daughter, Laurel and are active members of Christ Redeemer Church.

Zach Carnes

Zach serves as the Director of Allied Health Ministry for CMMSA and has oversees ministry to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant students at the University of South Alabama since 2022. He went to Auburn University for undergrad, finished his Master’s in Occupational Therapy from USA in 2020, and became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2024. Zach is currently practicing at Refine PT and Performance in Mobile. A native of Alabaster, AL, Zach is passionate about discipleship, running, and Auburn basketball.  He and his wife Mattie live in midtown Mobile with their two young daughters, Annie and Hallie, and are active members of Christ Redeemer Church.
