David and Brooke both became Christians through campus ministries during their undergraduate studies and later met at the Medical College of Georgia. Both are physical therapists and have ministered together to healthcare students with Medical Campus Outreach (MCO). The MCO vision, to “train the next generation of healthcare providers in Jesus’ name,” has resulted in hundreds of Christ-like providers serving in the U.S. and globally.
David served as a campus director
of MCO Augusta for 10 years and then led a medical team to
Cusco, Peru for 7 years with Mission to the World, where they evangelized and
discipled students. The most recent calling for the Daniels is to Auburn,
Alabama to make disciples on the healthcare campus. They will be
serving with Medical Ministries of South Alabama (CMMSA) which works in
partnership with CMDA, CMMA and MCO. All of these groups are reaching
healthcare students for Christ and are doing so in collaboration in the US
and throughout the world.
The call to come to Auburn began as Dr. Steven and Leanne Presley began praying. Since the inauguration of The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn in 2015, they have been meeting with and discipling students. They began praying in January 2017 for a couple to join them in the ministry. Little did they know that their prayers would be answered so quickly, as the Daniels were also seeking the Lord’s direction for their future ministry opportunities.
Auburn’s campus has a medical school, a nursing school and a pharmacy school. The ministry will begin with a focus on the medical school campus, and they hope to see opportunities open on the other campuses as well.
Their strategy is simple. They seek to meet students, help them in their walk with Jesus and prepare them to go into the world and be healers in Jesus' name, Matthew 28:18-20.
They are thankful that CMMSA and CMDA have taken them on as staff to the medical campus at Auburn University.
